Aas na rakhin maya utte aas na rakhin bandyan te;
Aas na rakhin rishtyan utte aas na rakhin dhandyan te. Aas na rakhin aklan utte samjhan ate parhayiyan te; Ghar baar te puttar dheean daulat ate kamayiyan te. Kahe avtar aas rakh is di jo kan kan vich vas rihai; Rame raam da lavo aasra jo gur poora das rihai. |

O' man, you should not rely upon material wealth and the worldly people;
You should not rely upon your worldly relations and the business dealings. You should not rely upon worldly wisdom and academic knowledge; You should not rely upon your family, your sons and daughters, your wealth and income. Avtar says, you should rely only upon the One, who dwells in every particle; You should take refuge of the all-pervading God being revealed by the True Master. |
Meaning
This verse beautifully explains that you should rely only upon the One, who re-sides in every particle and
should take shelter of the all-pervading God revealed by the True Master. O' man, you should not keep hopes on
the material wealth and on all the people. You should not rely upon your worldly relations and the business related
dealings. You should not rely upon worldly wisdom and academ-ic knowledge and studies. You should not rely upon
your family, your sons and daughters, your wealth and income.
